Week 16: Spring has Sprung

Week 16: Spring has Sprung

Well, I’m a little late posting Week 16, which we can chalk up to the ol’ day job.

In spite of the cold temps in Virginia last week (the low was 39!),  our Spring fever was in full throttle, so for our creative activity this week, Ashley and I decided to make a Spring journal.  Like other journals we’ve made, we simply covered the front and back covers with scrapbook paper:

On the back inside cover, we made a pocket to keep paper scraps and other items we want to use in the journal later, and Ashley also glued on a couple of envelopes for us to leave each other notes:

The plan with the journal is to pass it back and forth between us (and Tom too!), decorate the pages, and write notes to each other.

The first page we’ve done is a flower doodle page:

So even if Mother Nature is holding out a little on warm, Spring weather – we’ve got all kinds of stuff blooming inside!

See ya next week!

Hi friends, so this week was Tom’s birthday (Happy Bday, Honey)!!!  And for our creative activity this week, Ashley and I decided to make a birthday card for Tom instead of buying one from the store. Ashley had this great idea of making a moose out of a root beer bottle and then making aContinue Reading

Ashley was fully in charge of this activity and takes all the credit, because she did all the work.   She got some really great ideas from the Martha Stewart Easter egg phone appand then added a fewContinue Reading
