Week 29: Fun and Fizzy

Hi all!   The remodeling projects still continue at our house (sigh), but they are getting closer to being done (yay!).   It’s still been a little challenging during the remodel to carve out a lot of creative time,  so last week we needed another quick and easy creative project.  Ashley came to the rescue again and decided for our weekly Sub52 challenge we should create a summer drink.  She actually created the recipe herself, and I have to say, it’s not only delicious and refreshing but it’s fun and fizzy too!!!   And with the little bit of orange juice in the drink, it’s actually got some nutritional value as well!

Here’s the recipe for 1 drink:

  • 2 scoops frozen vanilla yogurt
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • Sprite to top off
  • Colored sugar sprinkles (we used pink)

It’s super simple to make…here’s what you do:  Scoop the yogurt into a drinking glass and then pour in the orange juice.  Fill to the top with Sprite and then top off with sprinkles.  Just make sure you add the Sprite slowly because it will start to fizz a lot and just might overflow.  If it does, just wipe off with a napkin.

 We’re calling our new summer drink “Fizzy Navel.”    Here’s to creative summers and fizzy drinks!!!
