Week 48: Little Christmas Pretties

Week 48: Little Christmas Pretties

Hi all, for our Week 48 creative endeavor,  we (well…ok…mostly Ashley) put out some Little Christmas Pretties in Ashley’s room – you know, just little stuff to add a touch more Christmas to her room.  With the help of Target, some gold pine cones from Michael’s, and Ashley’s DIY Christmas craftiness, it didn’t take much to add some full on Christmasness!

First we tweaked the shelves and added a couple of gold pine cones next to the white owl candle holder (from Target) and the Sweater Weather plaque that Ashley made in Week 34.    Ashley also made snow balls by gluing artificial snow to Styrofoam balls (from Michael’s) and put those in the bowl that normally holds her floating candles:

Then for another shelf, we used a little village house that we already had on hand, added some more pine cones, and then using some twine, Ashley tied the tiny  tree to the little van that we bought this summer in Myrtle Beach.  It’s a groovy little wintry scene, don’t ya think?

On the side table next to her bed, she placed some more gold pine cones, added some Christmas candles to her existing gold flower candle holders, and then topped things off with the little bird that we got from Target!  CUTENESS!!!!

On her makeup table, she added the pretty white reindeer (from where else???? Target, of course!), a white Christmas tree, another Christmas candle, add you got it, another gold pine cone!

About the darling little snow globe….  Ashley made it by gluing some artificial snow to the inside of the mason jar and then glued the tree that she covered with pink glitter to the lid of the mason jar.   Of all the little pretties in the room, this is my FAVORITE!

Hope you enjoy the Little Christmas Pretties!!!  I sure do every time I go into her room!

See ya next time!
