Changing Seasons, Changing Wreaths

Changing Seasons, Changing Wreaths

From March 9, 2014:

Hello dear friends.  Today it was a glorious day in VA.  The temp got all the way into the 50s and the sun was a shinin’!  It’s funny how your perspective changes when you have several weeks of temps in the 20s and 30s.  Now, 50 degree weather almost seems like a heat wave!

Tom and I spent a lot of time outside today soaking up the sunshine.  I finally spray painted the other 2 nesting tables that go with this little guy that I started several months ago.  I’ll post pics of the finished set after add the top coat, so stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, I want to show you my changeable wreath that I’m super excited about.  Not sure if you recall, but I made the wreath when we decorated our mantel for Valentine’s Day.  And after swapping out the pink and red fabric flowers with some whites and creams, our Valentine’s-themed wreath was transformed to a nice Winter neutral:

All it took was a few more fabric flowers (thankfully Ashley helped me with these while we watched TV one night).

And Sparky even chipped in too:

All I did was remove the pink and red flowers and pin on the new flowers.  As I  mentioned when I made the Valentine’s wreath, the straight pins aren’t visible when the wreath is hung:

I’m not quite ready to decorate for Easter, but rest assured there will be some Peter Cottontail action right around the corner!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and we’ll see ya next time!
